Shanishka Bain, BSc, HHC, CT, TN
Born on the island of New Providence, located in the island archipelago of The Bahamas,
Shanishka Bain grew up close to nature. Like many tropical locales, the use of native herbal
medicinals for strengthening the human body is well known in her community. At a young
age her curiosity in things environmental blossomed from becoming certified as a scuba diver
at the age of fifteen, to pursuing a BSc degree in Environmental Chemistry.
Her environmental studies and research led her to pursue a minor in Nutrition, as she learnt
that the health of the human body was inextricably linked to the health of the natural
environment. Therein birthed her journey in pursuing the “Holistic concept of living,” a
whole lifestyle approach in safeguarding Mother Nature, of which the human family is apart.
Upon graduation from university, her drive and passion led her to continue her education and
to date has earned designations such as Holistic Health Practitioner, Traditional Naturopath,
and Colon Hydrotherapist. Additionally, she is an Organic Agriculturist and Holistic Vegan
Chef. On a mission to educate her community – worldwide in the keys to wellness and
sustainable living, Shanishka Bain offers a host of holistic care services based on traditional
means of healing using whole foods, herbs, education, and therapies.
